AprilFoolChild began her musical journey at a very young age.  Time spent with her godmothers Natalie Cole and Phyllis Hayman inspired her to develop her musical talent and innate ability.  The piano, the flute, and even percussion - all became cornerstones of her multi-instrumentalist foundation.  As Brielle’s musicality developed, she traveled the east coast, performing in choir concerts & competitive singing.

One of the most crucial components of many musicians development lies within their parents record collection.  Luckily for Brielle, early exposure to legendary artists such as  Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Harry Belefonte helped set her foundation.  SadeErykah Badu,  and Amy Winehouse helped solidify that foundation, and laid the framework of what would become AprilFoolChild - a one woman, musical experience of  Alternative Pop, World Music, and Soul.

Fast forward to 2014 - AprilFoolChild  performed a live set on Philly’s WXPN radio, followed up by a summer performance as the opening act  for Hip-Hop legend Rakim. In 2015  she sang background vocals and played flute in Dice Raw’s of the ROOTS  Hip-Hop Musical ' The Last Jimmy'. After a ground breaking  year of performances, the songstress released her first solo single ' Mangos'. The record achieved great sucesses reaching 150K plays in just under a year. 2016, the magic only continued to roll in as the songstress opened up for Grammy Award Winning Singer Anna Wise.

Now residing in the LA area, Brielle is currently working with Grammy nominated producers and music industry veterans.  Her debut album includes collaborations with Like from Pac Div(Grammy nominated, Squatch Records)DK The Punisher(Justin Bieber, Mac Miller, Jill Scott, Dom Kennedy), Trigo Fare (Black Eyed Peas, Doobie Brothers, Ozomatli, Macy Grey) and Scott Mayo(Grammy nominated, Mick Jagger, Stevie Wonder, Cee-Lo Green, Ice Cube, Jennifer Hudson, Los Angeles Philharmonic).

In 2017, plans for AprilFoolChild include a festival tour across the U.S. in support of her debut LP.  Until then, go and listen on SoundCloud, watch her music videos on YouTube, or try and keep up with her on Instagram.  Whichever you choose, she’s sure to bring the vibes and leave you wanting more.
